I have a wasps nest in my garage. There was only one wasp flying about when I went there this afternoon, but the nest itself was about 6 inches by 6 inches. I do not live in the property attached to the garage and visit it only several times per year to collect books or folders that I have stored there. As Summer is approaching, and the door that opens the garage is about two inches away from disturbing the nest on the roof as it opens, I am rather afraid of what might happen. The garage is located in N2, Muswell Hill. Are you able to help?

Well if you start to see more wasps popping in and out of a hole or cavity on your property, get in touch. You may have attracted another Queen who decide to build a nest in your roof!

Yeah. I thought it was a little bigger than I would normally expect a wasp to be.

Nice work. Glad our blog helped you discover you were visited by a Queen wasp. Did you notice she was a little bigger than normal?

We had a wasp sighting yesterday afternoon. Normally, I would have just assumed it was a normal worker wasp. But after reading about the queen and their lifecycle, I realised it was a queen. I have to say, it was ushered out of the house and quickly despatched!
